Mark Mayo has written a terrific post directed at what system administrators of traditional data centers need to be doing to prepare for the transition to the Cloud. He is very clear that the change is coming, and many traditional roles will change or cease to exist. Without a detailed understanding of virtualization, he cautions sysadmins will be out of work.
